Food

We understand how important food is to your Raasay experience, and we work hard to make sure it’s one of the reasons you’ll visit us again and again.

Our approach is simple. We source the best local, seasonal ingredients, and we prepare them in a delicious, authentic, wholesome, uncomplicated way.  At a reasonable price.

We have a couple of stunning signature dishes which we’re particularly proud of – slow roasted haunch of Raasay venison and our dark chocolate and carrageen pudding.  (If we told you the secret, we’d have to kill you). And of course we cater for all special dietary needs.

We also understand how to satisfy younger palates, especially after a hard day’s abseiling.  For them the emphasis is on home cooked, nutritious and filling.

There are two eating areas.  Guests on full board are served meals in the dining room. Guests on a half board or bed and breakfast basis can choose to eat either in the dining room or the café/restaurant, giving parents the chance to have a more leisurely dinner in the restaurant while the children are occupied with our evening activities. Both areas have stunning sea views.  The café/restaurant is also open to non residents – do please call to reserve a table.

And of course for special events we know how to deliver something amazing which is right for you and your budget, whether it’s a lavish sit down dinner, sophisticated canapés or a hearty barbeque on the beach.
