Beginners are introduced to kayaking in the shallow inland loch just five minutes from the house. A perfect place to learn skills and gain confidence. We use single seated kayaks, and combine instruction with exciting games and fun experiences.
The sheltered bay in front of the house provides a superb introduction to sea-kayaking and the skills needed to deal with tides, waves and currents. Experienced paddlers go on expeditions along the coast, exploring the rocky inlets and neighbouring islands, and getting up close to bird and sealife. An overnight beach camp and barbeque for the advanced kayakers is often the highlight of their stay on Raasay.
