The island of Raasay has a unique diversity of landscapes and almost unequalled unspoilt beauty - the perfect destination for running/fitness enthusiasts of all levels. Whether you’re training for a marathon, half-marathon, triathlon, or just want to improve your general fitness, this is a wonderful setting to put some kilometres under your belt.
Raasay has the advantage of very limited traffic while its shape (14 miles long and 4 miles wide) makes it especially appealing. Only a short jog from Raasay House there are flat tarmac roads, steep single tracks and forest paths - or perhaps you’d prefer sandy beaches, challenging rocky shore paths and heather covered hills? We have those too!
If you’re part of a group you can bring your own trainer or we can provide someone who’ll put you well and truly through your paces.
And once the running shoes are off, there are hot showers, deep sofas and fine whisky to help you unwind from the day’s adventures.
