Schools and youth groups

We specialise in educational outdoor courses for school children and youth groups of all ages. We have been running residential activity courses from this historic house on a beautiful unspoilt Scottish island, for over 24 years.

Our wide range of courses focus on core skills, team building and personal development as well as environmental, creative projects.  We include the John Muir Award - a memorable, adventurous and educational addition to the classroom-based curriculum. All courses can be tailored to meet your particular requirements.

Groups return year after year because we are no ordinary outdoor centre. Our courses are challenging, flexible and fun; our staff create a nurturing atmosphere in which children and young people can flourish; our unique island location offers an insight into a Hebridean, community-based way of life, far from the distractions of city life.

Typical activities include kayaking, sailing, rock climbing, coasteering and canyoning. There is something to suit and challenge all tastes, ages and abilities. Our instructors are highly trained and rigorous about safety. We make the most of the long, light evenings and even when we come inside activities are traditional, imaginative and electronic-free.

Students are accommodated in a variety of comfortable rooms.

Our food is simple and wholesome using local ingredients where possible. Meals are served in the dining room.
