Marketing, Sales and Advertising Manager
Full time, Fixed 12 month contract.£15,500-£20,000
The Placement
This 12 month placement on the Isle of Raasay offers the fantastic opportunity to be responsible for all of the marketing, sales & advertising function at Raasay House hotel. The key purpose of the role is to generate net additional new business for the company.The graduate will be involved in the implementation of targeted practical marketing and sales activities for example contacting potential customers on the phone, mail shots with direct follow up, organising advertising, improving web presence, signage and cross sales. The graduate will be involved in work that might entail the need to work flexible hours depending on work load and time of year. The successful candidate will be supervised by a company director.
The Programme
As part of the Talent Scotland Graduate Placement Programme in the Highlands and Islands, the candidate will benefit from support from a team within Highlands and Island Enterprise and also access training focussed on employability and innovation, including a five day residential course
Skills/experience required of graduate:
- excellent communication skills both written and oral
- able to sell both face to face and on the phone
- good knowledge of computers and various programs
- ability to up ads & flyers both in house & for print.
- The ability to do mail shots, both by mail & email.
- highly organised, creative and a self starter
- A passion essential for learning and fresh thinking

- Ability to work as part of a small team
- Self reliance and interest to work & live in this unique location
- Ability to work on own initiative and work to deadlines

Desirable skills/experience:
- marketing degree or general business degree with a marketing interest
- current driving licence
