Accommodation & Activity Booking Terms & Conditions

BOOKING/PAYMENT

You will be asked to provide a credit card (or debit card) at the time of the Booking to secure your reservation. Where a deposit or full payment is required in advance; by Booking you are authorising the debiting of the card provided.

We accept the following methods of payment: Credit Cards: American Express, MasterCard, Visa Debit Cards: Visa / Delta and Visa / Electron.
The Guest must pay all outstanding charges on departure from the Raasay House. Unpaid fees will be debited from the authorised debit/credit card.

FEES

Supplementary purchases, made during your stay can be charged to your room and must be paid in full on check out. If the booking is made through an agency or 3rd party the agency will be billed for any extra fees incurred. All accommodation and course fees include transport to and from the ferry terminal and on the island when available.

CANCELLATION

Bookings can be cancelled without charge up to 2:00 p.m. GMT two days before guests are due to arrive.

Cancellation charges apply after this time and will be charged to the credit / debit card supplied at the time of booking, regardless of the cancellation reason. The Company reserves the right to charge for 25% of the total booking value, or the value of 1 nights accommodation (whichever is greater)  if the above cancellation requirements are not met.

NON ARRIVAL (No Show)

If you fail to show up for your booking on the night you are due to check in you will be charged to the credit / debit card supplied at the time of booking, regardless of the non arrival reason.

None arrival on the night you are due to check in will also result in your booking being cancelled. The Company reserves the right to charge for 25% of the total booking value, or the value of 1 nights accommodation (whichever is greater)  if the above cancellation requirements are not met.

SMOKING

There is no smoking permitted inside the building. You may smoke outside the building and we ask that you please use the ashtrays provided.

Be aware that if you are suspected of smoking in your room or smoking out of your bedroom window we will charge you a £200 smoking fine. This fine will be added to your bill and charged to your credit or debit card.  

FORCE MAJEURE

We will not be liable to pay any compensation if we are forced to cancel or change any aspect of the booking due to circumstances beyond our control which we or our suppliers could not have reasonably foreseen or forestalled. Such circumstances include, but are not restricted to war or threat of war, terrorist activity, riots or civil strife, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disasters, fire, bad weather, closure of airports, ports or stations, cancellation or changes in schedules by air, land or sea carriers.

INSURANCE

Raasay Outdoor Centre holds Public Liability Insurance. We strongly advise our guests to arrange their own insurance to cover Personal Accident or Cancellation.

CORKAGE

Guests are permitted to consume their own wine but there will be a corkage fee of £6 per bottle

PETS

Well behaved dogs are permitted within Raasay House. A £10 per night charge applies. We reserve the right to withdraw this service without notice. Animals are not permitted in the dining room at any time and are not permitted on the furniture.

BELONGINGS/VEHICLES

Raasay Outdoor centre accepts no liability for loss or damage  to belongings or vehicles during your stay

ACTIVITIES

Whilst a wide range of activities is available to guests; the Centre cannot guarantee a completely free choice at any given time. Every effort will be made to complete course programmes, but all courses and activities are subject to the prevailing weather and other unavoidable conditions. The Centre reserves the right to alter and cancel programmes.

COMPLAINTS

We will try to sort out any problems as soon as you notify us of them. If you have a complaint during your stay, please reception and ask for the manager. If the problem cannot be rectified at the time of complaint, please notify our administration department in writing within 7 days of your departure, setting out the full details of the complaint. We will reply to you within 7 days of the receipt of your letter.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

Guests may check-in at any time from 3.00 p.m. on the day of arrival. (earlier subject to availablity)

On the day of departure we kindly ask all guests to vacate their rooms by 10.00 am. Late check-out after this time can be requested and is subject to availability. There may be a charge for this facility.
