We are closed from the 31st of October 2021 until the 1st of April 2022. We will also be closed on some days of the week throughout 2022. Please check our opening dates post if you are not seeing availability, you might be searching over a day we are actually closed.

Please book ahead for evening meals. As part of our coronavirus prevention measures, we have now reduced capacity for dining and drinking.
All visitors MUST check in using Check In Scotland.
You are legally required to provide track and trace information. One of your party needs to scan our QR code on entry to the hotel (including outside tables). It takes 2 minutes. 

Coffee, Tea & Cake We are open from 10:30 till 16:00 each day for Coffee, Tea and Cake. Unfortunately you cannot reserve a table for this. We have outside tables that are not reserved for lunch will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you take an outside table please pop inside for a menu and to place your order.   We also have an area in the West Wing Hall for drinks with a pool table and foosball, this area is an App Ordering Only area. You will need to download the app TevOrder to use this area.

Lunch – We will be serving  light lunches such as soup, salads and baguettes from 12:00 till 15:00. No table reservations.

Dinner – We are open for dinner each day from 17:30 till 20:30/21:00. Booking a table is essential at all times for dinner. We use all of our front service areas for evening dining now because we have had to reduce the number of tables in each dining room. Tables will be allocated based on size and timings and we cannot take specific table requests.

The maximum table size available online is 6. If your party is bigger than this you may have to split into smaller groups and book 2 or 3 tables, please email so we can assist you.

Evening Drinks Only –  If you would like to come for drinks only, unfortunately you cannot reserve a table. We are extremely pushed for dining space now due to physical distancing so tables will be reserved for diners only.  We do have outside tables and any non reserved inside tables will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you take an outside table please pop inside to order at the bar.  We also have an area in the West Wing Hall for drinks with a pool table and foosball, this area is an App Ordering Only area. You will need to download the app TevOrder to use this area. 

If you are a Raasay House overnight guest staying in one of our rooms then you can also have drinks in our “Library Guest Lounge”. This area is for the exclusive use of our overnight guests.


The hotel and staff are part of a small vulnerable island community. The safety of our island community, staff and customers is our top priority. 

Please help us to keep everyone safe by adhering to the following:

  • If you have any of the symptoms of Coronavirus or have been in contact with anyone suspected or confirmed to have coronavirus please do not travel to the Isle of Raasay. If you are displaying symptoms on arrival we reserve the right to refuse entry to the premises.
  • As per the instructions from the Scottish Government all visitors travelling to Scottish islands should take a lateral flow test prior to travelling. Please go to this website for info. Scroll to the heading “Travelling to the Scottish islands: pre-departure testing”
  • A face covering is mandatory for every adult while moving around inside the hotel (except when seated for food or drink). If you will not wear a face covering please do not visit us. 
  • You will be asked to track and trace – this is legal requirement, please comply.
  • Please use the hand sanitiser provided before entering each service area and when entering the building.
  • Please remain seated and within your household when in our food and drink service areas.


We haven’t had a single case of Covid on Raasay and with your help and cooperation we can keep it that way.

We use the best in locally sourced produce. Wild Raasay venison, langoustines from the sound of Raasay, Skye scallops and even fresh vegetables and herbs from the Raasay Walled Garden at the rear of the hotel.

We have meals for a range of dietary requirements. Many of our dishes are vegetarian, vegan friendly. Our chef is happy to adapt dishes for gluten free and dairy free diets. We also have a children’s menu which your little ones will love.
